Management within 3 months after the catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation

1. Avoid strenuous exercise, overwork, emotional excitement and staying up late; Avoid alcohol and stimulating beverages.


2. Avoid eating hard, prickly and cold food for 2 weeks.


3. Take anticoagulant and antiarrhythmic drugs at least 3 months. Anticoagulants include warfarin, rivaroxaban and added dabigatran. Antiarrhythmic drugs include propafenone, betaloc, Amiodarone, sotalol, etc. During this period, the recurrence of atrial fibrillation is a normal phenomenon, medication adherence and follow-up are essential. The efficacy of catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation should be evaluated 3 months later.


4. Take gastric mucosa protectant and proton pump inhibitor for 1 month.
