Professor Fan Xiaohan from Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, served as the chairman and delivered the opening speech. The forum also invited Professor Zou Jiangang from Jiangsu Province Hospital, Professor Anil Saxena from Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Professor Boyoung Joung from Yonsei University Health System, Professor Chen Xueying from Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, Professor Hou Xiaofeng from Jiangsu Province Hospital, Professor Li Xiaofei from Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Tan Boon Yew from National Heart Centre Singapore, Professor TAM Tsz Kin from Prince of Wales Hospital, and Professor Liu Jinqiu from the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University to preside over the event and attend academic lectures. Prestigious scholars in the field of pacemakers from both China and abroad shared the latest technologies and clinical practices in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology, providing a rich and fascinating academic feast for cardiovascular professionals in Asia.

First Session of the Pacemaker Forum (English Session) focused on physiological pacing and CRT, co-chaired by Professor Fan Xiaohan, Professor Anil Saxena, Professor Zou Jiangang, Professor Boyoung Joung, Professor Chen Xueying, Professor Ye Yang, and Professor Liu Jinqiu.

Professor Huang Weijian from the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University systematically elaborated on the application value of conduction system pacing in patients with atrial fibrillation and heart failure, and verified its clinical efficacy.

img

Professor Anil Saxena from India shared the LBBAP indication screening model, proposing precise selection criteria based on electrophysiological parameters and imaging assessments.

img

Professor Zou Jiangang from Jiangsu Province Hospital analyzed the correlation between electrical synchrony and cardiac function improvement by comparing case data of LVSP with/without epicardial left ventricular pacing.

img

Professor Fan Xiaohan from Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, combining surgical cases, systematically expounded on the importance of capturing the LBB in CRT treatment for heart failure patients, and discussed the balance strategy between operational goals and clinical benefits.

img

Dr. Tan Boon Yew from Singapore introduced the novel SDL-compatible LBBAP catheter implantation technique, as well as the design advantages and operational tips of the new catheter, which can enhance surgical efficiency.

img

Professor Chen Xueying from Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, through case comparisons, elaborated on the treatment strategies for IVCD heart failure patients with LOT or biventricular pacing, and proposed evidence-based basis for individualized treatment plan selection.

Second Session of the Pacemaker Forum (English Session) focused on CIED innovative technologies, co-chaired by Professor Tan Boon Yew, Professor Hou Xiaofeng, Professor Li Xiaofei, and Professor Jin Han.

img

Professor TAM Tsz Kin from Hong Kong comprehensively analyzed the iterative path and future development direction of leadless pacemaker technology.

img

Professor Li Yaodong from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University shared the expanded indications for S-ICD implantation and standardized surgical procedures.

img

Professor Liu Jinqiu from the First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University demonstrated the unique value of atrioventricular node ablation combined with leadless pacemaker implantation in patients with poorly controlled fast ventricular rate atrial fibrillation through complex case presentations.

img

Professor Boyoung Joung from Korea interpreted the latest results of the APPRAISE ATP trial, assessing the role of ATP in prolonging the first all-cause shock-free interval, providing new evidence for optimized treatment strategies in ICD patients.

img

Professor Wang Zefeng from Beijing Anzhen Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University introduced Bachmann bundle pacing through methods such as ICE and electrical mapping.

This forum gathered global wisdom to deeply explore the cutting-edge advancements in pacing technologies. The experts attending the forum unanimously agreed that the combination of physiological pacing and intelligent programming technologies will open a new chapter in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias. They look forward to these breakthrough achievements benefiting clinical practice soon and bringing better life experiences to patients!
